The Statue of Unity is a 182 meter tall statue of the country’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It is the tallest statue in the world. This statue is near Sardar Sarovar Dam on Narmada River in Kevadiya Colony in Gujarat. It was designed by Indian sculptor Ram V Sutar. The project was first announced in the year 2010. It was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2018.
